Huge energy savings opportunities are to be found in mining and industry. Never has the business case for saving electricity been stronger, or the need so pressing. A piecemeal approach will bring savings, but a systems approach will yield far greater and more sustainable savings for the same investment. A systems approach brings together all of the major plant items and processes and considers these as components of one interlinked system, which needs to function optimally. The combined result is synergistic and resultant savings far exceed the sum of the parts.
